Feeling Shy

If you find speaking to strangers and mingling in social gatherings tiring and uncomfortable, you are most probably an introvert. You might have heard people say introverts are best at doing jobs that do not require much human interaction. This is unfortunate as lots of fun and high-paying jobs do require human interaction. What is fortunate is that this saying is not necessarily true.

If you are an introvert, you naturally possess the traits that make you great at selling high-value products and services to price-sensitive customers. You are also a natural leader. The traits you have make you special.

You promote trust.

You love knowledge. While you don’t enjoy surface level conversations and small talks, you love deep conversations and thus possess a therapist-like charisma that promotes trust.

You understand customers’ needs.

You are sensitive to pain thus making you highly observant. You carefully watch and listen to your surroundings in order to feel safe and prefer analyzing situations to focusing on biases and assumptions. And so you are highly cognitive and pay close attention to people’s microexpressions and their needs.

You are a supportive leader.

You don’t speak to assert leadership. Instead, you speak to assist and give emotional support. You are comfortable working alone and are humble, caring and prepared. You are also usually the first to notice problems and so you think of worst case scenarios and ways to get out of trouble before they happen. As a result, you rarely pass snap judgements when compared to the extraverted type.

Know your strength.

You are motivated to work and highly loyal. Being aware of your tendency to nitpick is helpful when trying to get work done and dealing with people. With all these strengths you naturally possess, be proud an confident that you are perfect for the jobs that you want but hesitate to pursue.
