Creative people find multiple choice questions more challenging than less creative people. Being creative allows them to see possibilities of the wrong answers being right. And vice versa. This becomes a problem when seeing many possibilities make it difficult to make executive decisions.
Instead of trying to choose the perfect idea, work on making the idea you chose perfect.
Being creative is counterproductive when your aim is to find the perfect idea, the perfect time to start, or for the work to be perfect before the launch. Perfection is impossible to attain. When you strive for perfection and don’t find it, you’re giving yourself an excuse to do nothing at all.
Give yourself a deadline for creative thinking. Choose something that excites you. And let your creativity find solutions to problems you encounter along the way to perfection.
