Look for the person who is in the position to give you the promotion you want and ask them politely and with eagerness to learn the following question.
“What does it take to be successful in this company?”
Pay attention and repeat what they say back to them to confirm your understanding. Take note if necessary. Then thank them for their kind advice and tell them that you will follow their every word. Your respect for them and their words must be genuine. You have indirectly made them your mentor and as a result, they will feel responsible for your success when they see that you have done everything they have suggested.
